If you’re considering purchasing Re-sale Rights to the WP Simplicity plugin for WordPress, I recommend you think again!  Actually, even if you are just going to purchase the  WP Simplicity Plugin itself I would think again based on the below experience.

I’ve been a reseller since the first day resale rights have been offered.  And when WP Simplicity was in the hands of the original developer, there were no problems at all.  Even if one of my customers went directly to them for support, they were taken care of.  Now,  WP Simplicity has apparently been sold to another party and thanks to a loyal customer, I found out what THEIR priority is.

My customer asked for support as her plugin suddenly stopped working.  In a nut shell, she was told to ask for a refund and re-purchase from them directly if she wanted support.  Also, he made the implication that the resellers do not have the latest version (which we are ALWAYS supposed to receive) yet there is no new version.  Basically, it seems this party doesn’t have much of a clue when it comes to support anyway as he blames reported problems on something the customers must have done OR he states that the reseller must have altered the plugin.  Of course, neither is the case, but since he had no solution, better to throw it off to someone else.

Of course, my customer was not mad at me….she just could not believe that they would do business this way.  One thing is for certain, she won’t ever buy anything from this party especially if it involves resale rights.

So…before you consider purchasing WP Simplicity with re-sale rights, you should pretty much count on similar experiences happening to you as well.

Think about it! If a marketer offers you just ONE of these products for say $7 or $9, but then tries to upsell you for the PLR or MRR for say $10 or $12, you’ve just spent on ONE PRODUCT what you would spend for Gold Membership and be able to download ALL OF THE VERY SAME PRODUCTS they are selling you each and every month! You’ll be getting the products from the very same place 99% of the other marketers are getting them!

The same holds true if you’re an affiliate.  While it may seem easy to convert sales for products that are being blown out for $2 or $3, remember you are only conditioning your list to expect products at this price and when you try to offer higher quality products, your own products, or products that require a sizable investment to obtain and resell, you’ll be hard pressed to get the price you really need to get to make it profitable.  If you have a list of mostly “Freebie” seekers, it may be fine to send out these low end older products, but if you continually send to your better responsive lists, eventually you’ll find the quality of those lists will plummet.

In the latest installment of “Anything To Make A Buck” I found a sale released today offering “Instant Amazon Stores” which is basically a set of website scripts with different niche topics where you add your Amazon affiliate ID and upload.

But the first question is….granted it’s only a few dollars (for now as it’s on a dimesale) but why would anyone seek out one of these sites you put up rather than just going directly to Amazon.com and searching for what they are looking for?  Now, obviously you would be better served by having, say, a “weight loss blog” with some relevant info for readers and THEN have an Amazon Ad or Widget offering related products.  You are not going to attract visitors by simply offering Amazon products when they can find all they’ll ever want to find at Amazon.com  But if you are offering some relevant info like “how to count calories” or maybe “low fat recipes” you’d be more likely to grab someone’s attention and THEN interest them in a relevant book or product available at Amazon.

Honestly, for any one to offer you these as a valid way to earn Amazon Commissions by themselves, is doing you a disservice in my opinion and you really should consider asking for a refund.

But the most egregious thing about this offer is that it’s trying to sell you something that Amazon.com already gives you FREE!  In fact…it even links to where you can get the Widget it’s using!!

You could just login to your Amazon Affilaite account and build your own widget that does the same thing (actually much more….read on…) and it’s 100% FREE!  Not to mention, you can customize the keywords and/or products it displays which you would not be able to do with the pre-made sites with the pre-coded widget offered (unless you are experienced at coding anyway).  And frankly, the Widget you’ll get FREE from Amazon is going to be more appealing and more readily recognized as something “Amazon.com” .  Now I’ve created a particularly large Widget here for demonstration purposes, but you can build one’s with standard ad dimensions and specify columns, rows, products and more….

Do yourself a favor…when you want to earn commissions on any given niche, build yourself some blogs for free….get some relevant content via public domain for free and get your Amazon.com Widget for free!  You can even find some really great PLR content for the blog for a very small investment.  But, the bottom line is, these blogs and free or low cost resources will serve you better than some static html site which displays a pre-coded widget you can’t control.

UPDATE: It’s sad…but it appears that this marketer has found enough people that don’t KNOW ANY BETTER to justify launching a second set of these worthless “upload and earn” (figuratively that is…) sites. SAVE YOUR MONEY!

The height of “Anything For A Buck” was displayed today when I received an email from a marketer selling “Mega Blog Creator”.  Not only is this software about 4 to  5 years old, it’s creating blogs from a php template system and is not related to WordPress in any way.

If you have any character in this business at all and are not just looking for a quick buck (they are selling this one for $4), there is no way you should offer anything to your customers that’s not on the WordPress platform when it comes to blogging. This product is from back in the day, when blogging was a “new thing” and the WordPress platform was not yet the “standard”.  The funny thing is, in the same email they offer WordPress PLR Blogs AND that $67 dollar blog install (simply outrageous) we spoke about before.  So where’s the parody?  Apparently they’ve just pulled some old dusy product out of the archives they could throw out there for their “birthday sale” but the only one’s that will be celebrating that purchase are themselves and the few affiliates they find with no conscience or that don’t know any better to promote complete garbage.

I grow tired of marketers like this that love to slam other marketers while preaching that they are the ethical one’s who are just looking out for their customers.  Well this should show quite clearly that they don’t have ANY regard for their customers at all by offering something like this when they should be directing their customers to the WordPress platform for so many reasons.

Recently I saw a new announcement for a Blog Install Service.  I expected to see a reasonable price like $19.97 or something along those lines….but NEVER expected $67!

Has everyone completely lost their minds???

First of all, if you are just a LITTLE BIT net savvy, you could install WordPress EASILY by yourself.  Not to mention that almost every reputable web host has a “One Click” install option for WordPress.   Even if you are not sure what plugins you should use, there is a virtual TIDAL WAVE of tutorials not only at WordPress.org but all over the net.

We’re not even mentioning other options you have such as Fiverr.com!  Searching just the term “Install WordPress” I found over 100+ gigs offering WordPress Blog Installs for only $5 and many offered not only everything this $67 blog install service did, but even MORE!

In additon, there are literally TONS of offers out there to install WordPress for $10, $20 etc that will give you everything you’ll ever need and more.

I don’t want to offend anyone, but if you actually would consider spending $67 for a blog install, you’ve either got money to burn OR you’ve simply lost your mind!

So just released today is a new plugin called WP Hot Clickbank Offer.  It’s pre-loaded with 15 offers that the developer’s think you should promote or as they put it “they searched for the 15 newest and best selling products”.

The first problem I see is that you apparently are stuck with the products THEY think are the hottest sellers.  I don’t see anywhere where it says you can change them.  So if you have a niche blog, you can’t customize the products to match your niche.

Secondly, I see it becoming outdated pretty quickly.  Products on Clickbank turn over very quickly and unless they plan on being “married to this plugin” and providing updates regularly I don’t see where it will keep up.   They say that they’ll “send out updates” when the products start to “go out of style”.  They also say they don’t know if they plan to provide the plugin with any other niches.  So there you have it.  You can’t customize the ads to meet your needs, you’re stuck with what they think you should promote, and unless your blog is an “internet marketing” blog, the ads won’t be very relevant.  Heck, the clickbank links aren’t even cloaked!  Why would you want a plugin where you can’t control it’s content?

Chalk this one up to yet another lack luster attempt to cash in on the hot plugin market.  There’s just too many free plugins at WordPress.org for Clickbank that allow you to control what you advertise.

If you want a truly flexible Click Bank plugin with lots of nice features that is equally easy to use, you’re better off getting the CB Cashlinks Plugin.  It’s only about $7 more than the starting price for WP Hot Clickbank Offer (which is a dimesale so it’s rising after each sale) and it’s the best $$$ you’ll spend when it comes to paid ClickBank plugins.  Not to mention you can customize it’s content.
