If you’re considering purchasing Re-sale Rights to the WP Simplicity plugin for WordPress, I recommend you think again! Actually, even if you are just going to purchase the WP Simplicity Plugin itself I would think again based on the below experience.
I’ve been a reseller since the first day resale rights have been offered. And when WP Simplicity was in the hands of the original developer, there were no problems at all. Even if one of my customers went directly to them for support, they were taken care of. Now, WP Simplicity has apparently been sold to another party and thanks to a loyal customer, I found out what THEIR priority is.
My customer asked for support as her plugin suddenly stopped working. In a nut shell, she was told to ask for a refund and re-purchase from them directly if she wanted support. Also, he made the implication that the resellers do not have the latest version (which we are ALWAYS supposed to receive) yet there is no new version. Basically, it seems this party doesn’t have much of a clue when it comes to support anyway as he blames reported problems on something the customers must have done OR he states that the reseller must have altered the plugin. Of course, neither is the case, but since he had no solution, better to throw it off to someone else.
Of course, my customer was not mad at me….she just could not believe that they would do business this way. One thing is for certain, she won’t ever buy anything from this party especially if it involves resale rights.
So…before you consider purchasing WP Simplicity with re-sale rights, you should pretty much count on similar experiences happening to you as well.
